Looking Forward: 2027 Fleet Retention Conversation

Your turnover report tells you how many drivers left. It rarely tells you which ones you could have kept.

Join safety, recruiting and operations leaders for an hour on what departures really cost, the reasons your current feedback may miss, and what to decide before your 2027 retention plan is set.

Thursday, October 15 · 11:00 AM Central · 9 AM Pacific · 10 AM Mountain · 12 PM Eastern

No cost. Your calendar invitation arrives by email right away. We never share your details with other attendees.

Why you’re invited

Every fleet can tell you its turnover rate. Far fewer can say which departures were preventable.

Fewer still can say what those departures actually cost, or who inside the company owns the fix. That gap is where retention budgets go to the wrong place: another sign-on bonus when the real issue was week-one dispatch, or a recognition program when drivers were asking about home time.

We are inviting a small group of fleet leaders personally, one at a time, because the people who carry the retention number are the people who can close that gap. The questions you bring shape where the hour goes.

We’d love to hear your voice, and to have you in this room.

What you’ll walk away with

  1. 01

    A cost you can defend

How to put a replacement-cost estimate beside your departures with numbers you already have, and what belongs in it.

  2. 02

    The reasons behind the report

A simple way to separate what drivers told you directly from what your team inferred afterward, so you know which explanations to trust.

  3. 03

    The five-question Retention Leak Check

Cost, early retention, evidence, ownership and recognition. Mark each one known, partial or unknown, and find the gap that could change a 2027 decision.

  4. 04

    A clear next move

Who owns the follow-through and who needs to be part of the decision before your 2027 plan is set.

  5. 05

A free 2027 Retention Consultation, if you want one

Every guest can book a free 30-minute consultation with our Chief Strategist to look at your own fleet: what is working, what isn’t, and what to focus on in 2027.

Who should be in the room

Safety

You see the exposure that comes with a seat that keeps turning over.

Recruiting and retention

You refill the seats, and you own the number when they empty again.

Operations

Dispatch, driver managers and home time: where many departures begin.

Leadership

You set the 2027 plan and decide which problem gets the attention.

Principally for-hire fleets with 100 or more drivers. Colleagues are welcome, and each person registers separately.

A conversation, not a presentation.

There’s time for your questions, and you’ll hear how other leaders handle the same problems.

Straight answers

What is this conversation about?

Driver retention heading into 2027: what departures really cost your fleet, why drivers actually leave, and what to decide before next year’s plan is set. It is an hour with other fleet leaders who deal with the same problem.

Why am I invited?

Because you are one of the people who carry the retention number. We are inviting a small group of safety, recruiting and operations leaders personally, and the conversation is better with your experience in it.

Who else will be there?

Leaders from for-hire fleets, principally with 100 or more drivers, in safety, recruiting, retention and operations.

Is there a cost?

No. The conversation is free, and so is the 2027 Retention Consultation afterward.

Can I bring my team?

Please do, and bring the leader you report to. Retention changes happen when the people who approve the 2027 plan are in the room. After you register, you can invite up to three colleagues in one step, and each receives a personal invitation from you.

What happens after the conversation?

If you want to look at your own fleet, you can book a free 30-minute 2027 Retention Consultation with our Chief Strategist. It is there if it is useful to you.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Microsoft Teams opens in the app if you have it, or in your web browser if you don’t. A laptop or desktop works best.

What if I can’t make it live?

Register anyway. Registered guests receive the replay once it is ready.

What time is it for me?

9 AM Pacific · 10 AM Mountain · 11 AM Central · 12 PM Eastern, on Thursday, October 15.

Do I need to prepare?

No. If you have your departure count nearby, bring it, along with the one retention question your current reports can’t answer.
